Very small backyard, so we designed a small "spool", not quite big enough to be called a pool, but heated with jets to be able to call it a spa. Behind, there is a contemporary fountain with large scupper wok pots spilling into the pool for sound effect and drama.

Off to the right is a fireplace with seating to enjoy the sunsets. Opposite the pool closer to the kitchen is a large bbq island and countertop for entertaining and grilling. Alot can go in a small space! If its designed right.

This client shared her belief that sunsets were a sacred experience and why she wanted water as an element to balance out the 'fire' of the sun. She also considers her fireplace to be symbolic of the sun's energy coming back after the sun has set.
